Candidates Night Monday Oct 17th

Candidates Night ahead of the national and state elections on November 8th will be back in the Brett School cafeteria Monday evening, Oct 17, at 7:00pm, for the first time in person since the Corona virus moved it to other venues. This night will feature the candidates that are running for New Hampshire House and Senate seats. Changes that are result of the recent redistricting process means that Tamworth voters are now voting in a different combination of towns for these offices, resulting in having some of names and faces that are familiar to Tamworth voters, and some that will be on our local ballots for the first time. Even the familiar representatives are running in a new distribution of representation. While the NH Senate seat includes most Carroll County towns, the candidates for NH House District 3 are shared only by Madison, Tamworth, and Moultonborough, and NH House District 8 includes these three plus five more towns along the Maine/New Hampshire line: Eaton, Freedom, Effingham, Wakefield, and Brookfield.

List of candidates with party affiliation and the towns in which each resides:

NH Senate (1 seat): R-Jeb Bradley(Wolfeboro) D-Bill Marsh(Brookfield)

NH House District 3 (2 seats) : R- Richard R Brown(Moultonborough) R-Karel A Crawford(Moultonborough) D-Gabrielle Watson(Tamworth) D-Peaco Todd(Tamworth)

NH HouseDistrict 8 (2 seats): R-Mark McConkey(Freedom) R-Michael Costable Jr.(Freedom) D-Jerry Knirk(Freedom) D-Sandra Ringelstein(Moultonborough)

There will be updates going forward. Please share this event with potential voters.
